i know this feeling...knowing someone is perfect for you but also knowing that you need 'space' and wondering if they'll wait for you or if things will get better or at least stay the same when you're ready, praying they dont get worse,hoping it doesnt, end (my translation). I'm loving this post

really nice...it's a lot of pain but a pain you want to feel, (if i'm right) because it keeps you (plural) connected and helps you (singular) know that what is there is going to die easily beacuse what you feel is for real...
it's a sweet kind of pain but the ache also comes from uncertainty...you need to be sure that you can abbandon certain things and not regret that you did...you need to be sure that it will be reciprocated and it will not only last but that it will also worth the sacrifice...

Appreciating the neuroscience behind love cheapens the euphoria. It surely might seem like you 'want to worship the ground he walks on' but babe I assure you, the altar you kneel before is nothing but a tickle of chemical rxns in your brain masquerading as your lover. Love shouldn't be ascribed any more value than the
prevailing market price of drugs that reproduce the same psychoactive effect. And that's real cheap.
Love is literally a cheap high. Should be treated as a perk. An added bonus. And like every other addicting drug, should not be the chief ingredient that sustains a rship.
Of all life's ruses, dare I say love is the most cruel, yet the most beautiful. And like most things of beauty, it distracts from its true nature lest you realize its grossly overrated.
Intoxicating love... I want that!
I've been in the space situation before. Mine didn't have a happy ending. But then again, it was far from being an intoxicating love.
